2nd Injection today.

I went to see the nurse today for my second injection and all went well untill she wanted to take blood, she could not find a vein good enough to get blood from so she sent me to phlebotomy to get blood taken and they managed to get some - just.

My first week has been not to bad compared to what i was expecting ( which is always a bonus) and the only real symtoms are tiredness, mild dizzyness/detached feelings and waking up every 2 - 3 hours but seem to get back to sleep quite easily although my eyes have been bloodshot for the last day or two.

  4. I think i have next weeks Injection(#3)then get my meds home to do #4 at home then next appointment is 3 days (due to Bank Holiday) before #5 and assume they will do the PCR then.
It is the middle of my second week on treatment and i had a strange feeling yesterday while out for a walk, I was crossing a bridge in a park near where i live and got this feeling the bridge was swaying and i nearly fell over, the bridge of course could not have been swaying as it is cast iron in construction.

I was ok untill i looked over the edge which has a drop of about 50 feet to a path below but other than that not really any major sx.

Keep a eye on this swaying/ dizzyness, tho lots do get this on tx...your keeping hydrated with water ?...
Remember to also keep your skin moisturized, this can dry out and get itchy...
    Hows your eyes now?....Pix

  6. Yeh Pixie the 4th is a bank holiday (In Scotland anyway)so i have to go on the 1st for my PCR instead of the 4th. I am going to have a word with the nurse on monday about the swaying/dizzy feeling and i am trying to keep hydrated by drinking 1.5litres of diluted juice a day. I dont have any problems with my skin at the moment but will keep it in mind, my eyes are still a little red and a little dry so am going to make an appointment with doc to get some drops.

  7. We should stop meeting like this Stumpy..LOL..
what juice are you drinking you could be getting a sugar rush?..can you try plain water?..
Your bloods will also be dropping and even a little drop will cause you to feel dizzy, can you ask your nurse what your HB was before Tx and what is it now?....
DR will prescribe drops there's no point in suffering with any sides if you don`t have to..

Stumpy around 4 weeks you can start to feel a little emotional, even tearful remember if this happens to you its normal...

Keep up the good fight stumpy you have a big milestone coming up with the PCR and its always a boost to see just how much virus has gone in those few weeks...Thinking of you
